The Center for Women’s Studies and the Croatian Anti-Fascist League invite you to the first thematic walk titled “Women’s organizations on the eve of World War Two and the resistance to fascism”, on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at 12 a.m. The gathering is in front of the Centre for Women’s Studies (Marija Jurić Zagorka Memorial Apartment, 8 Dolac) and the walk will end in King Petar Krešimir IV Square, in front of Radnički dom. Barbara Blasin and Ana Lovreković will lead you through the women’s antifascist Zagreb.
The walk will cover sites and commemorate organizations and women important for the formation of the women’s interwar feminist, trade union, youth, and student scene in Zagreb, which laid the foundations for a greater involvement of women in the anti-fascist resistance.
