Forum called “Can Family and Career Work Together” will be held on June 12th 2014 at the Cultural Information Centre in Zagreb (Preradoviceva 5) starting at 7 p.m. The speakers on the panel will be: Diana Kobas, the founder of the project Mamforce, Višnja Ljubičić, Ombudswoman for Gender Equality, Maja Pokrovac, Croatian Employers’ Association, Jasminka Jelić, psychologist, and Dubravka Jusić, Director of Corporate Communications VIPnet. The panel will also include politicians and civil society activists and members of the private business sector.

The forum is being held as a part of the series “In the Company of Women,” and will be lead by the HTV and portal Vox Feminae journalist Danijela Stanojević. The panel will give an opportunity to learn more about the first companies to facilitate balance between work and family for their employees and ensure equal opportunities for advancement, regardless of gender, and also about the project Mamforce.
There will also be a discussion about balancing of family obligations and careers, inadequate institutional and social support when going on maternity leave and family planning.
