As part of the 7th Job fair held in Krapina on 27 March 2014, Center for Education, Counseling and Research (CESI) held a “Workshop of Support for Unemployed Women” with the purpose of empowering and supporting women, as well as providing them with information and knowledge required for active participation in the labor market.

Martina Keča, expert associate in CESI, presented examples of well-written resumes and job applications, talked about communication and presentational skills and explained the best ways to present oneself to your future employer. Ena Knežević, lawyer from the Legal Counselling, talked about workers’ and social rights in the process of job search and employment, and pointed to the discrimination which affects women in the working world and how to fight against it. Web portal Radnica.org (Working woman) was presented, where women can report cases of discrimination, as well as get legal help and protection when it comes to workers’ and social rights.

20 unemployed women attended the workshop from Krapina-Zagorje County. All the women who attended the workshop were given CESI handbooks with advice for job search, as well as other CESI materials and brochures.

Croatian Employment Service – District Office Krapina, organized 7th Job fair under the auspices of Krapina-Zagorje County and the town of Krapina. As part of the fair, round table and a number of workshops were held, with the participation of representatives of employers, educational institutions, public institutions, organizations, CESI, as well as many unemployed people.
